It's lunchtime, you need something quick and tasty, where do you go? I tend to go to my foolproof list of places but there are so many more that have popped up that have so much potential. One of which is Wok to Walk, which is literally what it says on the tin. You're meant to enjoy the dishes on the go. I was invited to the eatery to try out their vegan options and see more of what they are about.
The eatery is located on New St, just a few doors down from Superdrug. So it's a prime location for all those that work nearby. It's cute, quaint and has accents of orange all around.
All the ingredients they use are MSG-free and there is an abundance of vegan options to choose from.
There are 3 steps to getting your wok on the go: base, favourites and sauce. I went for the vegetable mix, instead of noodles or rice, with tofu, cashew nuts, bamboo shoots and broccoli with Tokyo aka teriyaki sauce.
Normally this would be £6.80, which does seem a little expensive but the portion is big, the ingredients are fresh and I feel like it's worth it, especially for dinner. Maybe after a night out, as they are open until 1am.
The ingredients are hot like fire
This is how it's served. Yes, it looks a bit weird but, a BIG but, it was awesome. The teriyaki was so tasty! The veggies went so well together and the broccoli was on point.
**The views in this blog are my own but the meal was complimentary**
Would I go back? Not yet, as I feel it's a little too much for lunch but the next time I need something fresh, quick and tasty for dinner, I will be heading to Wok to Walk.
How did they cope with the vegan dietary requirement? Easily, as everything is fresh.
What are the prices like? Around £7 for one pot, which seems expensive but it's worth it for the portion size and quality
What is eatery best for? A quick and snappy dinner
Have you been? What did you think?
