Last year I attended the The Show: Ten and was really pleasantly surprised at how good it was. So when I got an invite to attend this years instalment, Autumn Fashion Fix, I jumped at the chance.
The runway was located on the Lower Level of the Bullring, outside Debenhams.
Sam Faiers and Billie Faiers were hosting the show and looked amazing. I especially loved Sam's outfit because you could see her awesome abs in the crop top. I found out later that the makeup for the ladies, was done by Rose, the Personal Beauty Shopper at Selfridges, aka MixedGems, the styling by Lola, the Marketing lady at Bullring, aka OkLola and hair was done by Umberto Giannini.
The lovely ladies were seated right opposite me during the show, I must've looked like a right idiot because I had to keep stopping myself from staring. Slight celeb stalker!
The show was made up of six trends, The Cosmo Edit, Faux Fur, Tapestry Folk, Shades of Red, New Pastels and Metallics.
The Cosmo Edit was all of the trends in one. I liked how they mixed luxurious brands with the high street to make a look that was wearable and beautiful to look at.
Can you believe the dress is £22, the coat is £49.99 and they are both from New Look?! The shoes are also stunning and are £65 from Office! Fantastic!
I loved how glitter tights were used, needless to say I have now purchased a pair.
Next up was Faux Faux, the most luxurious and warm trend that has ever been around. The outfits either had a hint of fur or a lot of it. Which do you prefer?
I have always liked the Faux Fur trend and have seen some great options on the high street. Any you would recommend?
Next up was the Tapestry trend, which was all about embroidery, beading and lace. I liked how they had also used prints to show this trend, it was beautifully put together.
The trend is very luxurious looking and it is perfect for the upcoming winter months because of the use of lace, beading and embroidery. I particularly liked the capes and the red outfit.
The Shades of Red trend was my stand out trend of the show, as I have a particular liking for the shade.
I tried on this dress at Karen Millen but I especially love the way it has been styled here.
I liked that they used different shades of red, as well as different textures to create a dramatic attention grabbing effect. However, it was all quite wearable and showed how diverse red can be.
Then it was onto pastels and it reminded me of snowy days. I can't say I am a fan of Pastel, I just love black too much, but I could definitely see the beauty in it.
Again, the use of textures made this trend look beautiful, stand out and transported me to Narnia.
Where is Mr Tumnus?!
Next up was the Metallic trend, which seems to be a recurring trend for the last couple of A/W seasons. But I can see why, it is perfect for Christmas parties and has the ability to make you feel and look pretty special, as it is bold, bright and daring.
Loved this! Plus I loved this model and have just seen her in the new BooHoo ads, have you spotted her?
Casual and well put together outfit; I would definitely wear this.
The Metallic trend is always a winner for me and I really like how Men's fashion was incorporated into this trend and the others.
This is how busy it was at the 3pm show. Can I just say wowzers, it is busy.
Thank you to the lovely team at the Bullring for inviting me, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think I will be heading to Umberto Giannini and Urban Decay to recreate the look very soon.
Did you attend? What did you think?
I also visited Karen Millen on the day and the lovely Elca took this photo
