Well, well, well, award season has begun.

Its 2012, its a new year and you know what that means - AWARDS!!!

More importantly, it means amazing dresses that I will drool and puke over.

First of all starting with the most recent award show - The Screen Actors Guild Awards aka SAG Awards.

My Favourite of the night was Emily Blunt (who was actually there as John Krasinski's plus one).

In this beautiful green Oscar De La Renta and nude accessories, it just pops against the red carpet and the rest of the dresses of the night, that were mostly grey tones. The fit, colour and nude shoes, jewellery and sparkly bag are fantastic together. Definitely 10 out of 10. This Brit hit it out of the park.

Next in is Ashlee Simpson.

This beautiful black and gold Jenny Peckham is rock star chic, especially with the added mesh detail on the neckline. Her jewellery was beautiful too. The make-up is subtle and it all just seems to work so well together with the hair. Effortless rock chic. 8 out of 10.

Sofia Vergara looked stunning in this hot pink Marchesa dress with purple jewels by Lorrain Schwatz and blue bag

Her sexy curves in this dress look so va va voom and just pop against her skin tone and on the red carpet. I also loved her nude make-up and swept up hair, it allowed the dress to be the main focal point. 9 out of 10.

Kelly Osbourne has been a stand-out style star lately, ever since she was on Dancing with the Stars, shes become quite the fashionista. This Badgley Mischka white dress set the standard high. The details on the shoulder and the pastel lavender hair work well with this ice fairy look. The key detail on the belt is also something I love. Understated and elegant - 9.5 out of 10.

Onto the most talked about of the night, Miss Angelina Jolie.

This woman knows how to wear black and to do it in such a way that is elegant, effortless and sexy. And the tattoos look so amazing on her back and with the Jenny Packham dress is just so amazing. However I don't like the swept back hair but other then that its amazeballs. 7 out of 10.

Renee Bargh is wearing this plunging purple gown that is so beautifully detailed and works so well with her Grecian goddess hair. 8.5 out of 10.

Michelle Williams is wearing this simple, elegant red Valentino gown and it just works so well with her pixie cut. 6 out of 10.

This Calvin Klein number worn by Jessica Chastein is another simple but sleekly detailed dress that is so subtle but pops with the blue shade. 6.5 out of 10.

Amber Heard is someone that I have a girl crush on at the moment. She is a stunning blonde babe who seems to always wear dresses that fit extremely well and her hair and make-up is always fabulous too. Ever since Rum Diary, she has become quite the style star/Blonde vixen. This award ceremony was no exception.  I love this Zac Posen dress and would actually wear it too. Definitely one to watch. Stunning. 9.8 out of 10.

So that's my round up of the best dresses of the night. I decided not to do worst dressed this time, as I feel only the good should be appreciated.
