Then upstairs into a room where drinks were being served, in image shown above. This is also where the tickets were given and goody bags were given out. I have to say the goody bag wasn't too shabby at all. It was given by Francesco Group and had sachets of shampoo & conditioner, hairspray, a pen and hair magazines.
Then shown into the main room where the event was taking place.
Emma Willis and Rylan Clark then came into room and they were bags of energy, considering the time and a hangover. Theirs, not mine. I thought they were the perfect hosts, Emma as she is from Birmingham, well Sutton Coldfield to be exact and Rylan for his craziness.
I have to say the show was impressive, they really put alot of effort into it. I just wish they had a raised platform for the catwalk, I really wanted to be able to see their shoes, but thats my only critique. I especially liked it when it started to snow, artificially of course. It just looked beautiful and reminded me winter was coming. As you can see from the pics below, it also looked beautiful.
Once the show had ended, Brix Smith-Smart was present for a Q&A session, which was exciting.
She also shared her favourites of the show and gave the person with the best question a hair straightener. The winner asked what she would recommend for this season, the classic items to last the whole season. She said an LBD, nude shoes, an cashmere sweater and an investment coat. I thought that was a pretty good answer. I really kicked myself after this, because I thought of a great question, afterwards. Typical.
Once the show ended, I headed to The Mailbox to get my goody bag from Harvey Nichols. The goody bag was also a good one with some random things. A bottle of water, a little jar of Strawberry Jam, Popcorn chips and some offers. They had alot going on at The Mailbox, a Style Search, 15% off in Harvey Nicks, a beauty train and a popcorn vendor. The beauty train had 4 treatments on offer for £5 and it was all situated on a beauty train, clever. The Creme de a Mer facial looked good but I had to pay a further £5 pounds for my makeup to be redone, so I left the offer. It wasn't a day for bad makeup.
Of course I entered into the Style Search, why not?! Thus my Style Birmingham experience ended for the day and then I got heavily distracted by the M&S sale.
The Show: Ten - 28th & 29th
Next up, The Show: Ten in the Bullring. This was on Saturday and Sunday but Molly King was only hosting on the Saturday and I attended on the Sunday. I was a little disappointed by this but it was still a good show.
Overall, it was a good show, well done and some good picks of clothes, from both the high street and designer. I also got a couple more offers, a complimentary blow dry and an Illamasqua 20 min consultation. Oh yeah. I love a freebie.
Its been a good weekend, can't wait until the next event.
Later Folks.
xx
