This is due to actually having a job and not hearing anything of note but the latter has changed.
So, here's the run down.
First up, Get Lucky by Daft Punk ft Pharrell
One word came to my mind when I heard this - OVER-HYPED. Pharrell is a complete legend in my book but this is such a lacklustre track. The lyrics are totally uninspired, what happened to his double entendre lyrics, he must have had a say in what he was singing. However I like the throwback beat, its got an 80's vibe for me. Kinda makes me think of Duran Duran's Rio but maybe that's just me.
2/10
Next Demi Lovato - Heart Attack
I really like this track, its super catchy pop. The video isn't bad but you know she is trying to be different, its pretty blatant. But overall its alright.
4/10
Thirdly Aluna George - Attracting Flies
So this chick has been everywhere and her sound is pretty distinctive dance/r&b and I have to say I really like it. She looks amazing in this video and i really like the fairytale theme. Its not my favourite of her tracks but its still pretty good.
5/10
Another dance track now, Rudimental - Waiting All Night
This girls voice is just beautiful so I had to pick the live version, it does her justice. Her voice and the music is a perfect fit. This is my go-to track this Summer.
6/10
Lastly Chris Brown - Fine China
The video is a modern version of Michel Jackson's 'Bad' and I actually like it, shock. Can I just say that Chris is looking pretty damn hot in this, hubba hubba :P Back to reality. The song sounds like Omarion - Touch to me. But that's not a bad thing. Chilled, smooth, r &b, its about time Chris went back to that. Just love it all!!!
8/10
Im also liking Taylor Swifts - 22 and Calvin Harris - Need Your Love.
There are two albums that are in my life that are a big deal in my life right now - Paramore 'Now' and Justin Timberlake 'The 20/20 Experience'.
Both came out around the same time and the artists are my ultimate favourites.
Paramores sound has progressed but they still have that distinctive trait to tell it is them. Im liking the two singles that they have released so far and as always Hayley is still changing her look. You can't go wrong with these guys. I thought after the Farro brothers left, it would all go downhill but it doesn't seem to have affected them.
What's not to love?!
7/10
Mr Justin Timberlake, I have been waiting for an album from you for a very long time and its not the same as Justified or FutureSex LoveSounds but I like it.
I've loved this man since I was 10 and now he is married (WAHHHHHHHHH).
Anyways you can tell by this album that he is happy, in love and is going for that classic r&b vibe and it seems to work.
Im not fond of Mirrors and don't think it should have been a single but its cute he dedicated it to his grandparents and the intro is pretty nice.
I particularly like Hold the Wall, Suit and Tie and Pusher Love Girl.
Come on Justin, bring the 20/20 tour to the UK!!!!
9/10
And that's it folks.
If there's anything that you guys would like reviewed or just want an opinion on, let me know. Cause im such a bigshot. Not really but im opinionated.
