Banana Tree

For my mum's birthday this year, we ventured to London. We had an awesome food filled sightseeing day. That ended at Banana Tree in Soho. I went to the eatery earlier this year, when they held an event to launch their vegan menu. Back then I even said I had my eye on a few of their dishes and now I was able to try them out.

Vegan Options at Yakinori

Once upon a time, there was a place in Birmingham called Woktastic. It was a great place, the portions were big, the prices were small and the food was soooooo tasty. My favourite combo. That place is no more but the openers have opened up Yakinori several years ago and well, the ethos is the same. But how are the vegan options? Tofu Tasha investigates....

Flight Club

Howdy folks! It's me again, reporting on the vegan options in Birmingham. Today, it's about Flight Club and their Brunch Social. It takes places on every weekend, has two sittings, either 12pm - 2pm or 2.30pm - 4.30pm and is priced from £25 - £30. This includes 2 hours of endless pizza, a Social Darts sampler and a maximum of one bottle of Prosecco per person. If you don't fancy alcohol, they offer a mocktail alternative like the one in my hand. That's the Peach Iced Tea and bloody hell, it's good!

Land Restaurant - New and Improved?

Nestled in Great Western Arcade is Land Restaurant. Once upon a time, it was 1847 and I loved the look of the place. I remember visiting the first time and not being that enthused by the food. Especially as I wasn't full but within the last year, I've fallen in love with the place. So I didn't know what to think when I heard that it had become Land and has new owners. I was invited to go try out the vegan options, so I was ready to investigate...

Pieminister - Vegan Patties

Pieminister has been my go-to place for a vegan pie for a while now, see my previous reviews here. But recently they launched a variety of patties: vegan, veggie and otherwise. I went in to research...

Rudy's Birmingham

Within the past couple of months, Bennetts Hill has become even more of a foodie haven. Most importantly, it's become a pizza haven, with the addition of Franco Manca and then Rudy's. Now, you've seen my review of Franco Manca. I loved the pizza and feel of the place. But then Rudy's came along and stole my heart.

Bill's Restaurant

Have you ever heard that Laura Nyro song called Wedding Bell Blues? It basically says Bill about a thousand times and whenever I hear about Bill's Restaurant, I hear that in my head. I blame Gilmore Girl's for that. Anyway, sorry for that major segway right at the beginning. I'm writing today to tell you guys about Bill's Restaurant, the newly refurbed Bill's in the Bullring, and their vegan options.

Zen Metro: Revisit

I'll just be here, eating a poppadom, laughing at the table. The things we do for that 'gram pic or I do anyway. So there I am at Zen Metro, loving life and eating every vegan option I could. I last reviewed Zen in 2016 and I have been a couple of times since. Just not as many times as I'd like. So getting invited to go and try it out again, was a blessing. I took my fellow Thai food lover, my madre, with me. I'm gonna get this out of the way now, this meal was complimentary in exchange for a review but my opinions are my own. Ok, onto the good stuff.

Franco Manca

This year has seen my love of pizza have a resurgence. For the longest time, I was scared of the after efforts. Of the bloating, stomach pain and swelling. Sounds amazing, right? But after a trip to Bath last year, I discovered I can have pizza without feeling like crap afterwards. I tried out Franco Manca whilst I was there and found their sourdough base didn't make me ill.

Caffe Botanico | Sutton Coldfield

Once upon a time I used to work in Sutton Coldfield. This was years ago, before I was vegan but had just become dairy-free because of lactose intolerance. It was really hard at that time to find good dairy-free or vegan options. I worked in the area for three years and found that Quinto Lounge was the only place I could go to for lunch. Times have definitely changed. As Caffe Botanico now exists in House of Fraser in Sutton Coldfield. I was invited to go and try out the vegan options at this cafe and relay my experience to you guys. So here goes....

Hookway's Vegan Options

Lunchtimes became a lot more pleasurable after I discovered Hookway's in The Minories, round the corner from Wayland's Yard and 10 minute walk away from Boston Tea Party in Birmingham City Centre. I discovered this place about a year ago when I worked on Birmingham's Colmore Row. Back then they had the buffet, where two out of the three counters had vegan options. That is still the case but they had also added a menu of options that can be freshly made

Wing Wah Birmingham

Hello and welcome back to another vegan review from the perspective of Birmingham-based vegan foodie, Tofu Tasha. Today, she will be focusing on the new eatery Wing Wah in Birmingham's Chinatown. Enough of talking in third person to you guys and onto the review.

The New Vegan Menu 2019 at The Stable

The many faces of Tofu Tasha can be seen above. Thankfully I've missed out the few where I am scoffing my face. As you don't wanna see that and I'm not the Asian wedding photographer to do that to myself. Anyways, the images above show me in The Stable in Birmingham, enjoying some of their new vegan menu. You guys already know how much I love this place, as I have shown the love right here and on Instagram, So you know I jumped at the chance to try out the menu when I was invited.
