Howdy folks! It's me again, reporting on the vegan options in Birmingham. Today, it's about Flight Club and their Brunch Social. It takes places on every weekend, has two sittings, either 12pm - 2pm or 2.30pm - 4.30pm and is priced from £25 - £30. This includes 2 hours of endless pizza, a Social Darts sampler and a maximum of one bottle of Prosecco per person. If you don't fancy alcohol, they offer a mocktail alternative like the one in my hand. That's the Peach Iced Tea and bloody hell, it's good!
So, if you've never been to Flight Club, it's an awesome place. It has the look of a gentleman's club meeting the circus. It's colourful, kitschy and a genuine fun place to be. The kind of place where you feel comfortable and happy to be there as soon as you walk in. Not one of those, why am I here kind of places.
I've always enjoyed playing darts with my cousin but that was years ago. So I didn't know what to expect but it was so much better then I thought it would be.
We got pretty competitive and tried out all the games on offer. Our favourite was the Snakes and Ladders one, as we used to play it when I was a little. My mum says I used to cheat and get angry when I used to lose but I don't remember that part.
We did 5 rounds and I won!
Whilst we were playing, we devoured 2 vegan pizzas. I fell in love with the Peach Iced Tea and my Mum loved the No-jito cocktails. There are a lot of vegan pizza options, especially as you can switch the veggie options for what you want. We tried the Roasted Artichokes, Black Olives and Cherry Tomatoes Pizza, as well as the Chargrilled Mediterranean Vegetable Pizza (above). I loved them both. The base was a cross between a deep pan and stonebaked, the tomato sauce was creamy and flavoursome and the veggies on both were the perfect size to suit the cheese. This was all part of the Brunch Social. Usually the pizza paddles would be around £15 and the mocktails are £5. That's good value for money in the Brunch Social, considering that's around £30 altogether.
**FYI I was invited to try out the Brunch Social and this was all complementary but my view is my own**
Who's been and what did you think?
Tasha x
